According to eyewitness testimony published by UNICEF Ukraine, her 3-year-old son suffered an arm injury, while her 4-year-old child escaped with bruises and scratches. “We went down to sleep in the parking garage under our building. When explosions suddenly erupted nearby during the night, it turned into a nightmare. Injured people started running in, children covered in blood. While we waited for the ambulance, neighbors provided first aid. A mother of two lost her leg. Her 3-year-old son had an injured arm, while I tried to calm down and examine her second son — he is only 4 years old. Thankfully, he had no serious injuries, only bruises and scratches. I hope this wounded woman survives and that her children will be okay,” eyewitness Olena said. This is what Russia brings into civilian neighborhoods, homes, shelters, and children’s lives.
