Minister Kajzer congratulated Montenegro on the provisional closure of two additional negotiation chapters, bringing the total to 16, and praised the country's continued progress on its path towards EU membership. “EU enlargement remains one of the Union’s most successful geopolitical policies and a key investment in the long-term peace, stability and security of Europe. Countries that deliver reforms and meet the accession criteria must be able to advance in the process,” he stressed. Minister Kajzer also reaffirmed Slovenia’s strong support for Montenegro’s European aspirations and offered Slovenia’s assistance on its path towards EU membership.   RT @SLOtoEU (Slovenia to the EU): #FAC | On the margins of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in 🇱🇺 , Slovenian Foreign Minister Tone Kajzer held a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts to strengthen political dialogue and advance Slovenia’s international partnerships. In talks with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, the ministers reaffirmed the excellent relations between Slovenia and Germany, a key strategic, political and economic partner. They discussed ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation and agreed to meet again soon in Berlin. Minister Kajzer also met 🇦🇲 Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan ahead of the EU-hosted ministerial breakfast. The ministers exchanged invitations for bilateral visits and welcomed discussions on the possible opening of an Armenian embassy in Ljubljana, which would provide an important boost to political, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
