Before his arrest, he worked as a street vendor to support his family. He was arrested during the January 2026 protests and transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. Reports say he has been denied access to a lawyer of his choice, phone calls, and family visits since his arrest. The Revolutionary Court in Mashhad sentenced him to death on the charge of “moharebeh.” Public reports have not clearly identified the specific act used as the basis for that charge. His death sentence has reportedly been upheld, increasing fears that his execution could be carried out. A 28-year-old father of two is now at risk of being taken from his children forever. He was arrested along with 15 others, most of them young people. The Revolutionary Court has sentenced him to death plus 11 years in prison, reportedly on charges including moharebeh (“waging war against God”), assembly and collusion, destruction of public property, and anti-regime activity.
